Buy a reusable shopping bag at Winn-Dixie supermarket in Pinson during April, and the store will donate $1.00 to United Way of Central Alabama’s Meals on Wheels program.
Every month, the store’s leadership selects a local non-profit organization to benefit from sales through the Winn-Dixie Community Bag Program. The reusable bag program empowers customers to make a difference in their communities by helping others while also helping the environment. The specially designed reusable bags are made from recycled materials, and can be found on the reusable bag rack in the store.
The program is simple. Every time one of the Community Bags is purchased at the Winn-Dixie store located at 4701 Center Point Road in Pinson throughout the month of April, Meals on Wheels will receive $1.00.
The bag rack will have a sign to let customers know they are helping Meals on Wheels with their purchase.
